A rich, emollient cleanser formulated with rejuvenating organic geranium, hops and chamomile for dry or mature skin. Softens and freshens, gently removing perspiration and pollution.

Cleansing is Step 1 in the Miessence Skin Essentials daily regime for organically glowing skin. Certified Organic Helianthus Annuus (sunflower) Seed Oil
Sunflower oil is expressed from sunflower seeds. It has a very high level of linoleic acid, which demonstrates superior skin compatibility and increases the moisture content of the skin (skin hydration is proportional to the level of linoleic acid in the skin).
Sclerotium Rolfsii Gum
Sclerotium rolfsii gum is a natural gum sourced from bacteria that produces an instant gel base when combined with water. It is a polysaccharide produced through a fermentation process of sclerotium rolfsii on a glucose-based medium. Sclerotium Gum has natural skin smoothing as well as soothing properties. It is used primarily in the cosmetic industry, but can be safely ingested.
Yucca Schidigera Extract
The Yucca Schidigera plant is native only to the south-western deserts of North America. Traditionally Native American Indians used it for washing, shampooing, and for a myriad of different medicinal applications. Biochemical research has shown that natural saponins, like those found in Yucca, repair the damage to cell membranes of the skin and scalp that result in a loss of nutrients.
Citrus Aurantium Amara (bitter orange) Fruit Extract
Bitter orange has a very complex chemical makeup with many health enhancing effects. Great topical antioxidant that is loaded with Vitamin C.
Certified Organic Pelargonium Graveolens (geranium) Essential Oil
Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) has been used for centuries in skin care. Its strength lies in its ability to revitalize tissue and its benefits are excellent for the skin. Toning, softening, soothing and balancing.
Certified Organic Pogostemon Cablin (patchouli) Essential Oil
The pure essential oil of Patchouli leaves is used to treat dry, mature or wrinkled skin, to rejuvenate, invigorate and restore.
Certified Organic Matricaria Recutita (chamomile) Flower Extract
Chamomile extract has counter-irritant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It is excellent for sensitive and allergy-prone skin.

Horsetail herb is an effective remedy for psoriasis, dandruff, eczema and similar skin conditions. It has also been praised for its ability to reduce swelling of the eyelids and heal wounds.

Stinging Nettle leaf is said to increase micro-circulation of the skin. It stimulates metabolism and is used in the treatment of dark circles around the eyes.

    It took me a few days to get used to this cleanser when I first switched, as I had been using a product that foamed to wash my face. But now, I love how this cleanser feels and works. I think my face is clearer that it had been in a long time.

Usage Tips

  • How To

    Gently press the face with a warm, soft cloth to soften and prepare the skin for cleansing. Massage one or two pumps of cleanser into your face and neck. Remove with a damp cloth and plenty of water. If wearing make-up, a second cleanse is necessary. Use twice daily (am/pm) as described in the Skin Essentials 3 Step regime. Follow with Miessence Skin Conditioner (Step 2) and Miessence Moisturizer (Step 3).
